Our Purpose
The main purpose of the MIECHV Training and Certificate Program is to offer a training curriculum that will address the multidimensional task demands and needs of home visitors in support of accomplishing the goals of their home visiting program. The training will empower home visitors with current knowledge and empirically supported practices in critical problem areas facing the women and children they serve. The ultimate goal of the Program is to develop home visitors’ competencies in achieving the goals of the MIECHV program: encouraging the health and well-being of children and their families.
Training Availability
Trainings for Spring and Fall 2017 are being delivered to programs in the state as part of a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT). During this time, training will be available only to agencies that volunteered to participate in the study in the fall of 2016. After the research study concludes, the certificate program will be open to all home visitors in Maryland. Therefore, trainings are currently not available for individuals to register directly with our training center.
